I took my original plaid-like pattern, and animated it.

RSL - Shader Code

 

I created a slim code that will transfer to Maya. THE CODE

 

This is what the RenderMan shader looks like in Maya using the cutter slim code.

The hl1-5 and vl1-5 sliders will control the beige lines while the blSqur01 will animate the blue square.

The results is the animation below.


Then I decided to add some geometry and play around with the final look.

I also added DOF. Voila!

 

 

Final Animation

Even though the pattern animation looks interesting, the shader itself is very flat.

We learned how to make a lambert shader, and I used that information to create a

more interesting look to the geo.
